Folks everywhere are beginning to at least think about being thankful. People in the North might be thankful for escaping the cluthes of a snowstorm while some others could be happy to have landed a great electronic deal on Black Friday. Thankfullness shows up in many forms.

A friend of our family in Tampa came up with a great idea. Its called The Gratitude List. Its simply a list you compile of things, people and situtions for which you’re grateful. Next, each day from now until the New Year, keep a running list of whatever you’re thankful for. There’s no right or wrong way to make the list. The process is transformative because it helps to create an attitude of gratitude.
Often we don’t have or take time to do this kind of introspection. I’ve been keeping a Gratitude List for a number of years and I’ve found the simple act of writing from my heart is making a profound impact on me and those I’m close to.
Give The Gratitude List a try and let me know if your life begins to change for the better. Happy Thanksgiving!

DUNCAN AND OMAROSA, WOW!
One minute she’s turning down love on a reality show, the next minute, she’s about to jump the broom with Michael Clarke Duncan.
Omarosa and the “Green Mile” actor have been quietly dating since about April of this year. And according to reports, she’s telling people that he’s definitely “the one.”
Last month, Omarosa told Black Voices, “He is the greatest guy I’ve ever been with! I’m madly in love!” She also said that if Duncan proposed, she would “absolutely” say yes.

On Sunday night, the couple arrived hand-in-hand at In Touch Weekly’s Icons and Idols party at Bar Marmont in West Hollywood and “could barely keep their paws off one another,” according to Popeater. “Duncan kept her very close to his side all night, gushing to onlookers, ‘That’s my girl.’”
As for Omarosa’s own green mile…of love?
In 2000, she married Aaron Stallworth, but the two divorced in 2005. Several months after the split, she was linked to Dr. Frank Ryan, who died tragically in a car accident this summer.
She tried her hand at love again earlier this year, teaming up with Donald Trump for the TV One dating show ‘The Ultimate Merger.’ But finding love wasn’t in the cards for her, as the final contestant, R&B singer Ray Lavender, was eliminated because he was still technically married. Although Omarosa stated during a reunion show that there would be a second season, it has been called off for now — as long as she and Duncan remain an item.

FORMER WIDE RECEIVER DOES SIDE STEP IN FACE OF ALLEGATIONS
Broadcaster and former NFL tight end Shannon Sharpe is taking a leave of absence from his NFL analyst gig at CBS amid allegations of sexual assault against him.
“I have decided to step aside from the NFL Today show until this matter is resolved,” Sharpe said in a statement released today.

Atlanta’s Fulton County Superior Court granted a temporary restraining order against Sharpe following a petition filed by Michele Bundy, who claims the ex-athlete threatened her life and forced her into sex.
A protection hearing is scheduled for Monday, Sept 20.

HALLE BERRY IS THANKFUL
Halle Berry says the court-ordered community service stemming from her 1997 hit-and-run car accident was a wake-up call that changed her life, and shifted her focus to charity work.
The Oscar winner was sentenced to 250 hours of community service for leaving the scene of the accident in West Hollywood. Berry said she suffered had suffered amnesia and needed 17 stitches in her forehead following the crash.

She fulfilled the court order by working at Los Angeles’ Jenesse Center, a charity that helps battered women and their children make a fresh start.
Cut to 13 years later, and Berry still regularly volunteers with the organization – which has helped her realize the importance of giving back.
She says, “It changed my life. I hadn’t been doing enough (for others). It was time.”

BARBER’S PR FIRM TO HELP
Former NFL running back Tiki Barber is looking to professionals for help in repairing his image after leaving his then-eight-months-pregnant wife Ginny Cha for former NBC intern Traci Lynn Johnson.
The former New York Giants star has enlisted the services of public relations agency 5WPR. According to the New York Post, he’s already done a photo shoot and is “offering it to publications.”

“5WPR is prepared to fight for its clients interests every step of the way, whether portraying a company as an industry leader, campaigning to make sure its part of a broader story, or battling to keep a negative story out of the press,” the company states on its website.
Ginny filed for divorce in April after finding out Barber was cheating on her with the 23-year-old Johnson for months.

FORMER WIDE RECEIVER REJECTED
Imprisoned former NFL star Plaxico Burress has reportedly been denied a chance to participate in his jail’s work release program.
The former New York Giants player, currently serving a two-year sentence for illegal gun possession after accidentally shooting himself at a NY nightclub, had requested a “temporary release” so he could play football again.

But according to TMZ, authorities in Albany, NY turned down his request, stating, “The serious and negative impact illegal guns have on the community coupled with dangerous nature of the weapon discharging in a public place renders him unsuitable for work release participation.”
According to the NY Dept of Correctional Services, the work release program “allows certain inmates to leave a work release correctional facility for a period of several days at a time for community preparation.”

ABC has just released the promo for its seventh season of “Desperate Housewives,” which features Vanessa Williams as the newest resident of Wisteria Lane.

So far, we know that her character Renee Perry has a rocky marriage with a New York baseball superstar (Reggie Austin), a long-standing rivalry with neighbor Lynette (Felicity Huffman) and a flirtation with a new contractor character played by Brian Austin Green.

WOODS MOVES INTO NEW APARTMENT
Us Magazine is reporting that the newly-single Tiger Woods moved into his new apartment in downtown Manhattan over the weekend.
A witness saw the golfer — who finalized his split from Elin Nordegren last Monday after his affair scandals — “introducing himself as the new neighbor,” the source tells Us.

Nordegren is currently renovating a $3 million waterfront estate in her native Sweden that she bought in 2009. She will also reside in the family’s estate near Orlando.
They are parents to daughter Sam, 3, and son Charlie, 18 months.

MAN CLAIMS TO BE HIS FATHER
Attorneys for LeBron James and his mom are asking a judge to dismiss a lawsuit filed against them by a man claiming to be his biological father.
TMZ reported that Leicester Bryce Stovell filed a $4 million lawsuit against the new Miami Heat star and his mother Gloria James, claiming fraud and defamation.

The website is now reporting that attorneys for mother and son have requested that the judge dismiss the suit, labeling it “rank speculation.”
According to new legal documents in the case, LeBron’s attorneys scoffed at “… a man who claims that as a twenty-nine year old lawyer he got a 15-year old girl pregnant during a one-night stand and who never contributed a penny in child support would earn millions in commercial endorsements by crawling out of the wood-work after the child he never gave a thought to became an NBA star.”
The new documents also note the results of a DNA test which show “0% probability of paternity,” TMZ reports.
