Janet Jackson, who can go from overweight to red-carpet ready in several weeks, says she will chronicle the issues behind her dramatic, headline-making weight fluctuations in an upcoming book. “I’m writing a book on my journey of weight loss and weight gain,” the 41-year- star said at a press roundtable for “Tyler Perry’s Why Did I Get Married?” “[I’m] really coming from the soul with it, and what I was going through at different times in my life and what possibly brought it about for myself,” she says of the yet untitled project. The book is to also include what she did “nutrition-wise” to shed the pounds “when she needed to,” but warns, “It’s different for everyone.” Meanwhile, Jackson has dealt head on with rumors that she’s about to marry her long-time partner, music producer Jermaine Dupri. “I don’t need a piece of paper to validate what we have,” Jackson told TV show Extra. “That’s just me though.” And if you’re wondering whether she has any marital advice, Miss Jackson says she’s not qualified to answer that. “Don’t ask me that question. You want to ask somebody who’s been married twice and divorced twice?”

Beyonce will not have to follow a strict dress code for an upcoming concert in Indonesia — unlike a performance in Malaysia that she recently canceled to protest the costume restrictions. Although Indonesia is the world’s most populous Muslim country, most are moderate and it is not taboo for native singers to wear skimpy clothes in their own videos and on stage. A spokeswoman for the concert promoted handling Beyonce’s show said, “I expect Indonesians to see this in a positive light. She is a great singer and her stage act is entertaining. Why should we say no to the way she dresses?”

The CD, due October 16th, was recorded entirely at Marvin’s Room, the late Marvin Gaye’s historic former studio on Sunset Boulevard in Los Angeles. The singer is releasing the tune “Happy Being Me” to smooth jazz radio next week. The gentle mid-tempo tune is the artist’s personal pick. “I think my favorite is ‘Happy Being Me,'” says Stone. “I guess that title gives you a clue about how I’m feeling right now.”

Pop rocker Lenny Kravitz is planning to release his new CD, It Is Time For A Love Revolution, on February 5th, 2008. It Is Time For A Love Revolution will be Kravitz’s first album in more than three years.
