Karrine “Superhead” Steffans To Release New Book on White Actors

Karrine “Superhead” Steffans is reportedly working on a new tell-all book. According to MediaTakeOut, Superhead will be talking about her intimate encounters with White actors this time. Her previous novel, “Confessions of a Video Vixen” (2005), was an expose’ about her sexual relationships with rappers and athletes, all of which were African-American. The insider told, “Everyone thinks that [Superhead] only had relationships with African American celebrities, but that’s not true. She’s been in Hollywood for a few years and she’s never discriminated.” “Up until now, she’s only talked about [African-Americans], but in her new book, she’ll open up more,” the insider continued. “And you’ll be surprised at some of the names that come up. There’s even an A-List actor.” “Confessions of a Video Vixen” is now on the New York Times bestseller list.

Aretha Franklin has lashed out at Beyoncé Knowles following last Sunday’s Grammy awards ceremony, where both singers appeared. That night, Beyoncé took to the stage with a musical monologue, paying tribute to many of the artists who have preceded her. “When I was a little girl I dreamed of being on this stage,” she speak-sang. “But I knew I needed all the right elements. Like the beat of Donna Summer, the spirit of Mahalia Jackson, the jazz of Ella or Nancy …”
So far, all’s well. But as film-clips appeared behind her and the band played a medley of jazz classics, Beyoncé introduced the woman who would be joining her for a duet: “But there is one legend who has the essence of all of these things. The glamour. The soul. The passion. The strength. The talent. Ladies and gentlemen,” Beyoncé fatefully intoned, “stand on your feet and give it up for the Queen.” Only the “Queen” was not Aretha Franklin. It was Tina Turner. “I am not sure of whose toes I may have stepped on or whose ego I may have bruised between the Grammy writer and Beyoncé,” Franklin later said to reporters, “however I dismissed it as a cheap shot for controversy.” Aretha Franklin, you see, is the Queen of Soul. This is a consensus title, as with the King of Pop (Michael Jackson) or the King of Rock (Elvis Presley). She was mentioned in Beyoncé’s speech, but only as a “historical figure”, part of a list that included Sarah Vaughn and Chaka Khan. This did not please Franklin one bit. The controversy stems from the fact that Tina Turner is known as the Queen of Rock’n’roll. Presumably all will be smoothed over when a son of the House of Soul marries a daughter from the House of Rock’n’roll and the two lines are joined in one formidable union.

In response to an article on, Juanita Bynum would like to make it very clear that she is not in counseling with Bishop Thomas Weeks III, nor are there any talks of reconciliation as stated in the false article written by Doug Campbell.
As Dr Bynum has stated in the past, she feels that reconciliation with her estranged husband could be a tremendous testimony to the body of Christ; however that is not the case at this time. After severing all ties with the Weeks Family, Juanita Bynum Ministries received a request from Bishop Week’s uncle, Bishop Leo Smith to speak at his conference in Barbados this June. She also received an invitation from his grandfather and aunt, Bishop Thomas J. Weeks, and Dr. Gwendolyn Weeks to speak at their 2-Day Prayer Revival in Boston. Dr Bynum has always honored her ministry and has great love and respect for the Weeks family, and after much prayer she accepted both invitations. As Dr. Bynum’s publicist I say this “After all is said and done, Juanita Bynum is an anointed woman of God, and called to be a voice to the nation. She is genuine in her relationship with God and understands it is impossible to maintain bitterness and love in the same heart. She has handled herself with dignity and integrity throughout this unfortunate ordeal, and as she moves forward she will continue to do no less. Dr. Bynum is treating these invitations as she does all others; an opportunity to minister to God’s pe

The cast of “Soul Men” expands with the addition of several new actors – including Isaac Hayes, “Will & Grace” vet Sean Hayes, singer John Legend and “American Pie’s” so-called “MILF” Jennifer Coolidge. The film stars Samuel L. Jackson and Bernie Mac respectively as Louis and Floyd, two estranged soul singers who reluctantly take a road trip to a reunion show at the Apollo Theater in honor of their newly-deceased third member, who will be played by John Legend. Isaac Hayes, who voiced the character Chef in Comedy Central’s “South Park,” will play himself in “Soul Men,” while Coolidge has been cast as the love interest of Mac’s character. Sean Hayes plays the band’s obnoxious manager. Jackie Long has also joined the film, along with Affion Crockett, Adam Herschman and Fatso Fasano. As previously reported, Sharon Leal signed on to play Louis’ daughter Cleo, who joins him and Floyd on their road trip and eventually becomes a singer for the band. The film will be directed by Malcolm Lee (“Welcome Home Roscoe Jenkins”) and is scheduled for release on Oct. 10 via MGM/Dimension.

Keith Sweat is preparing a return to the music scene with new material set to drop across multiple platforms – including ringtones and digital downloads. His new single, “Suga Suga Suga,” is currently at radio and just became available as a ringtone and digital single earlier this week. The track is the first release from his upcoming album “Just Me,” which is due to hit stores on May 6 via Atco/Rhino. The veteran crooner is promoting the project with a 19-city U.S. tour that launches tonight in the ATL and runs through May. (Scroll down for details.) I’m giving the people what they expect from me,” Sweat says of his new album. “You hear other artists out here who make the mistake of trying to be trendy. They really try to keep up. I know what people want to hear from Keith Sweat. I’m conscious of the people who have followed me the whole time, since day one. I remember that I have a fan base and I’m very careful to give the people what they expect from me.” “Just Me” features guest artists Keyshia Cole and Athena Cage (Keith’s duet partner on the million-selling 1996 hit “Nobody”). Aside from his tour, Sweat also finds time to host his own syndicated radio show “The Keith Sweat Hotel” on Premiere Radio Network, which is heard in 24 markets nationwide. Sweat’s tour includes the following cities: Atlanta, GA (2/14), Chicago, IL (2/15), Las Vegas, NV (2/16), Los Angeles, CA (2/17), Nashville, TN (2/23), Miami, FL (3/7), New Orleans, LA (3/8), Columbia, SC (3/14), Greenville, SC (3/15), Oakland, CA (3/28) and New York, NY (5/17).

New Jersey Nets forward Richard Jefferson is being investigated by authorities in Minneapolis for allegedly choking some man at a club, then threatening to beat up another man who witnessed the incident, TMZ has reported. A police report states Jefferson got in a “minor verbal disagreement” with another patron at the club, which then escalated to a situation in which the NBA star was on top of the man, allegedly choking him. According to the report, Jefferson left the club, and then ran into a witness who asked Jefferson to stay put until the disagreement was cleared up. The witness says Jefferson responded, “Say another word, I will kick your ass.” No charges have been filed, but Minneapolis PD says Jefferson is under investigation for “assault with significant bodily harm.”
