The Jay Leno Show, a program that Time Magazine is already calling the future of television, premiered tonight with a long list of celebrities including a remorseful Kanye West. The rapper apologized to Taylor Smith from whom he took the mic when she was awarded the moon man for Best Female Video at the MTV VMAs.
In his apology, West says he doesn’t try to justify his antics but apologized to Swift and vowed to help her and others in the music business. “I need to take some time off and figure out how I’m going to improve,” he added.
West, along with Jerry Seinfeld, Oprah Winfrey, Jay Z and Rihanna headlined Leno’s first week-night, prime-time program on NBC.
