A UCLA fraternity is facing backlash after they threw a party that offended African-American students.  Students say the party was called “Kanye Western” and those attending dressed up in do-rags, baggy clothes, padded bottoms, or as “Kardashians.”

The list of Rock and Roll Hall of Fame nominees reads like a who’s-who of previously snubbed artists, but newcomer Janet Jackson is expected to headline the class.

It’s a “Celebration” along Hollywood Boulevard.  The music group Kool & The Gang is now showing off their very own star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

Pitbull and “Empire” star Jussie Smollett’s new track “No Doubt About It” is getting a new video.  The song was recorded for the current series of “Empire,” and will be released in the show’s “Empire: Original Soundtrack from Season 2 Volume 1.”  Columbia Records says the soundtrack will be out sometime this year.

Steve Jobs

“Steve Jobs” is the biographic tale of the businessman and co-Founder of Apple.  Michael Fassbender plays the main role in the film, and shares what he thinks was Steve’s ultimate passion behind his work. The film takes place as Steve Jobs and co-founder Steve Wozniak get ready to unveil the very first Macintosh in 1984.  At the same time, Steve must also deal with personal issues related to his ex-girlfriend Chrisann Brennan and their daughter Lisa.  It also stars Seth Rogen, Jeff Daniels and Kate Winslet.  The film is directed by Danny Boyle and opens in select theaters this week.
Pan

Get whisked away in the fantastical world of Neverland in “Pan.”  Levi Miller brings the character of Peter Pan to life at just 12-years-old and describes the scene of Neverland as just “stunning.” The story starts off in a London orphanage, where Peter finds himself traveling to Neverland.  Adventure awaits as he meets new friend James Hook and the warrior Tiger Lily.  They soon find they must work together to save Neverland from the ruthless pirate Blackbeard.  The film is directed by Jone Wright, and stars Hugh Jackman, Cara Delevingne and Garrett Hedlund.

Big Stone Gap

Self-proclaimed spinster Ave Maria Mulligan finds her life shaken up and forever changed after learning a long-buried family secret in “Big Stone Gap.”  The story takes place in a small town nestled in the Appalachian Mountains of Virginia in 1978.  It is directed by Adriana Trigiani and stars Whoopi Goldberg, Patrick Wilson and Ashley Judd.

Knock Knock

A devoted husband and father finds himself in a dangerous position in “Knock Knock.”  When the man is left home alone for the weekend, two stranded young women unexpectedly knock on his door for help.  What began as a kind gesture, ends in a seductive, deadly game of predator and prey.  The film is directed by Eli Roth and stars Keanu Reeves, Lorenza Izzo and Ana de Armas.
