I’m honored that you spend time with me on my various radio platforms. Whether it’s a morning program, or a weekend show you’re there and I appreciate it. No listeners equal no show.

Words to the Wise and Affirmation; “A light heart lives long.”

The Lynx are world champs again.    Sylvia Fowles scored 20 points and grabbed eleven rebounds to lead Minnesota to a 69-52 win over the Indiana Fever last night in Game Five of the WNBA finals in Minneapolis.  The victory gives the Lynx their third championship in five seasons.
School board members voted this week to cancel a one-point-two-million-dollar contract with Reading Horizons.  The move was made following protests from people claiming the company provided books that contained cultural and racial stereotypes.

Former NBA star Lamar Odom is being treated for an overdose after a Las Vegas hospital found “virtually every drug imaginable” in his system.  TMZ reports Odom had cocaine and opiates in his system, and track marks on one of his arms.  The ex-Los Angeles Lakers and Clippers star was found unconscious Tuesday in his VIP suite at a Las Vegas-area brothel and was rushed to the hospital.  Most of the Kardashian clan has been at his side since the news broke.

Lil Wayne is either confused or needs to double-check his sources in the condition of Lamar Odom  The rapper took to Twitter early Wednesday to post, “R.I.P. LO, my blessings to your family and friends.”  About 20-minutes later, he seemed to realize his error, posting a follow-up tweet reading, “woop.”

Jay Z is taking the stand in a Los Angeles courtroom as part of the “Big Pimpin'” trial.  Jay told a jury Wednesday that he believes he has a valid license to use Arabic music featured on his 1999 hit “Big Pimpin.”

The wait for Rihanna’s newest album is over. The “B* Better Have My Money” singer announced Wednesday she’ll be dropping her eighth album, “Anti,” next month on November 6th.  Not only that, but the project is the singer’s first to be released on her label, Westbury Road, through Roc Nation.

2 Chainz is introducing his newborn son to the world.  The rapper’s third child and first son was born Wednesday morning, and took to Instagram to share the news and an adorable selfie of them together.

‘America’s Next Top Model’ Over After This Season

Netflix is blaming slower than expected subscriber growth for mixed third-quarter earnings.  The video-streaming service said it added below a million U.S. subscribers over the last quarter.  It attributes the decline in subscribers to the ongoing transition to chip-based credit and debit cards.

National Cheese Curd Day is celebrated annually on October 15. This is a day to enjoy the velvety goodness of cheese curds.
