An investigation is underway following another deadly shooting on the East Side of St. Paul.

Authorities are identifying a teen shot and killed in Minneapolis.  The Hennepin County medical examiner’s office says 16-year-old Tyrone Rice, Junior was gunned down last Thursday in a car near 27th and Lyndale avenues.

There are reports that former NBA star Lamar Odom is making steady progress at a Las Vegas hospital.  E! News says Odom was able get out of his bed with assistance and sit in a chair.

A handwritten letter by Malcolm X will go on sale this week for a whopping $1.25 million, reports the New York Post.

The letter, written by Malcolm who was born Malcolm Little, then became Malcolm X and then El Hajj Malik El Shabazz after his conversion to Islam was intended for an unknown recipient. The 6 page letter details his pilgrimage to Mecca in 1964 and how it impacted him.



Jane Fonda says she went skinny dipping with Michael Jackson.  The revelation came earlier this month during an interview at Loyola Marymount University.

The heat was on at Snoop Dogg’s birthday party, but not in the way the rapper may have wanted.  TMZ reports a fire broke out Friday at the Heat Ultra Lounge in Anaheim, California as Snoop celebrated his 44th birthday.  A decorative chandelier reportedly caught on fire around eleven at night.
Lil Wayne’s legal team is issuing a cease-and desist letter to a blog that’s been posting clips of a sex tape that allegedly features the rapper.

A UCLA fraternity is facing backlash after they threw a party that offended African-American students.  Students say the party was called “Kanye Western” and those attending dressed up in do-rags, baggy clothes, padded bottoms, or as “Kardashians.”

Chris Brown is showing off the album cover art for his upcoming album, “Royalty.”  The album is named after his one-year-old daughter, so it only made sense to also have her in the cover.

Azealia Banks is teaming up with Fall Out Boy for a brand new remix.  The 24-year-old rapper took to Twitter on Friday to announce the collaboration.  Banks tweeted, “big love to Fall Out Boy for inviting me to work with them.



Tracy Morgan is back at Studio 8H.  The long-time “Saturday Night Live” castmember made his return to the NBC sketch comedy program just over a year after a car crash that nearly cost him his life.

“Goosebumps” is the winner at the box office hauling in 23 and a-half million dollars in its debut weekend.  The adaption of R.L. Stine’s spooky kids books edged out “The Martian” as the Matt Damon flick earned 21 and a-half million over the weekend.  “Bridge of Spies” opened at number-three this week with the Steven Spielberg Cold War drama taking in more than 15-million bucks.  The Gothic love story “Crimson Peak” debuted in fourth place while holdover “Hotel Transylvania 2” rounded out the top five.

A star-studded lineup of comedians including Chris Rock, Dave Chappelle, George Lopez, Kathy Griffin and Arsenio Hall honored Eddie Murphy as an “American icon.”

The Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts presented the comedian Sunday with the Mark Twain Prize, the nation’s top prize for humor.
