An arrest has been made in the shooting death in South Minneapolis.  The shooting happened yesterday in the area of Lake Street and Pleasant Avenue.  Police believe the victim and the shooter knew each other.

The Minneapolis Police Department is getting a whole new batch of officers.  A graduation ceremony was held last night so 26 recruits could be sworn in as officers.  The event followed a 30-week training program

A New York Police officer is dead after being shot in East Harlem last night.  He is identified as 33-year-old Randolph Holder, a five-year veteran of the force.

Brown University is apologizing to Malia Obama after students took to social media to say she was partying during a recent college visit.



An online petition is challenging T.I. to “put his money where his mouth is.”  It all starts from comments the rapper made last week saying he couldn’t vote for a woman to be president.

Drake is letting loose in the new video for “Hotline Bling.”  The rapper dropped the video Monday on Apple Music, where he can be seen showing off his trademark moves, along with a little Cha-Cha.

The Game is speaking up on Lamar Odom’s road to recovery.  TMZ reports the rapper saying that the Los Angeles Lakers should be helping Lamar get better.  He said, “they should get Lamar better, rehab him a little bit, and throw him in the gym.”



Jay Z is treating the “Jimmy Kimmel Live” audience to quite the surprise.  The rapper appeared on Tuesday night’s show as a guest, but then surprised Kimmel’s entire live audience by inviting them to his “Tidal X: 1020” festival.  To prove it wasn’t an empty promise, right after his interview, the cameras followed Jay Z, Kimmel and the entire audience behind them as they walked down to the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, where Jay Z took the stage.

Production will begin in December on “Star,” a drama pilot from “Empire” creator Lee Daniels. Fox, which airs “Empire” and ordered the “Star” pilot, also said that an online casting search is under way for the drama.

FOX has an all-new episodes of “Empire” and “Rosewood.”
