Here are today’s Words to the Wise; “I have had better days, but I have also had worse. Today I am OK.”

For some people a big dose of positivity doesn’t necessarily help and even could have the opposite of the desired intent. My research indicates a better idea is to concentrate on being centered. By introducing and considering more reality-based, self-talk statements and situations, our brains instead focus on a pathway to a more solid foundation which brings us back to center. When we’re centered it’s easier to move forward toward our desired outcomes.

So, if you find yourself struggling with negative self-talk or mental chatter, that you just can’t quiet down, give yourself a chance at real change and start slowly with some neutral statements related to being “good enough” for a while — which ironically, is exactly how you will find yourself, “every day, in every way, getting better and better.” Today, you really are okay.
