Washington County Sheriff’s Office is a participant in the national program called LO/JACK.  The technology now protects and rescues individuals who wander from their caregiver.  The task of searching for wandering or lost individuals with cognitive disorders including AUTISM, ALZHEIMER’S or other medical conditions is a growing and serious responsibility for the caregivers and the Sheriff’s Office.  Without the help of an effective tracking system, searches can involve multiple agencies, hundreds of officers, countless hours and thousands of dollars.  More important, because time is of the essence, every minute lost increases the risk of a tragic outcome.  That is why the Washington County Sheriff’s Office now offers an effective solution for finding and rescuing those who wander from their caregiver.

If you would like more information about this program, please visit the Lo/Jack website

Here is a link to the full article CJ, from the Star Tribune, wrote a few weeks ago. http://www.startribune.com/entertainment/celebrities/278906001.html I hope you find it interesting even though most of you know the story.  After reading it,  I couldn’t help but think, I wish more had been said  about my work as a Motivational/Inspirational Speaker.  I firmly believe in the Power of Focus and how it change lives. Its a message I love sharing with audiences across America.  Maybe you’ll invite me to speak at your company’s next event.

In addition to being a broadcaster,  I’m also a Motivational, Inspirational speaker. I just finished a new talk  called “Faith is Substance.”  It’s a short impactful message examining, how to have faith which  shows how  it shows up in our lives. Is this too heavy for you on a Saturday morning? 🙂

NEW YORK (AP) — Apple says it sold more than 10 million iPhone 6 and 6 Plus models, a record for a new model, in the three days after the phones went on sale.
A year ago, Apple Inc. said it had sold 9 million of the then-new iPhone 5C and 5S models.
The iPhone is available in the U.S., Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Japan, Puerto Rico, Singapore and the U.K. It will go on sale in 20 more countries on Sept. 26 and others by the end of the year.
CEO Tim Cook says demand for the phones has exceeded the company’s expectations. Besides larger screens, the new phones offer faster performance and a wireless chip for making credit card payments. The phones start at $199 with a two-year service contact.

The Minnesota Vikings are standing behind Adrian Peterson.

The team announced Monday that its star halfback will fully participate in meetings and practice this week and is expected to play Sunday against the New Orleans Saints.

The Vikings had deactivated Peterson, 29, for their game against the New England Patriots yesterday, one day after the 2012 NFL MVP answered a warrant in Texas for his arrest on a charge of causing injury to his son by disciplining him with a tree branch.

“Today’s decision was made after significant thought, discussion and consideration,” owners Zygi Wilf and Mrak Wilf said in a joint statement issued by the team.

“As evidenced by our decision to deactivate Adrian from yesterday’s game, this is clearly a very important issue. On Friday, we felt it was in the best interests of the organization to step back, evaluate the situation, and not rush to judgment given the seriousness of this matter. At that time, we made the decision that we felt was best for the Vikings and all parties involved.

“To be clear, we take very seriously any matter that involves the welfare of a child. At this time, however, we believe this is a matter of due process and we should allow the legal system to proceed so we can come to the most effective conclusions and then determine the appropriate course of action. This is a difficult path to navigate, and our focus is on doing the right thing. Currently we believe we are at a juncture where the most appropriate next step is to allow the judicial process to move forward.

“We will continue to monitor the situation closely and support Adrian’s fulfillment of his legal responsibilities throughout this process.”

An Arkansas woman whose mug shot shows her in heavy aqua and maroon eye shadow is accused of shoplifting $144 in makeup.

Police in Fayetteville, Arkansas, arrested 31-year-old Brandy Allen, accusing her of stuffing handfuls of eye shadow into her purse Monday.

Officers said that, after being confronted, Allen went on a profanity-laced tirade and tried to damage makeup as she pulled it out of her purse so the items would appear used.

The Washington County jail said Wednesday that Allen was released on $830 bond on charges of shoplifting and disorderly conduct. Jailers did not have a record of whether Allen had a lawyer. A telephone number could not be found for the woman in Fayetteville.
