We think all the time, and some of the finest thoughts we have are those that have the potential of positively impacting our lives. The key to winning is to taking time to listen to what we hear in our innermost reflections and then acting on those ideas that move us forward.

By habit, many people tend to focus on what they don’t want in their lives rather than what they’d like to see. What do you want? What do you want to be? What do you want to become? Concentrate and then act on those ideas.

We’re naturally goal seeking people and our positive thoughts and ideas set us up for greatness. The key to winning is staying on course and shutting off the internal negative thoughts that threaten to hold us back.

Don’t allow your own defeatist introspections and outside influences push you around. Take charge of your brain power by filling your mind with ideas and thoughts that move you closer to your goals and dreams.

Consider adding the following simple idea. “I’m grateful for my ideas that help make my dreams, goals and ambitions come true.”

I wanted to get some information to you about an exciting new Home Ownership program. Very briefly, here are the details you need to know. The Greater Metropolitan Housing Corporation’s Housing Resource Center has the details.

Washington County Sheriff’s Office is a participant in the national program called LO/JACK.  The technology now protects and rescues individuals who wander from their caregiver.  The task of searching for wandering or lost individuals with cognitive disorders including AUTISM, ALZHEIMER’S or other medical conditions is a growing and serious responsibility for the caregivers and the Sheriff’s Office.  Without the help of an effective tracking system, searches can involve multiple agencies, hundreds of officers, countless hours and thousands of dollars.  More important, because time is of the essence, every minute lost increases the risk of a tragic outcome.  That is why the Washington County Sheriff’s Office now offers an effective solution for finding and rescuing those who wander from their caregiver.

If you would like more information about this program, please visit the Lo/Jack website

Here is a link to the full article CJ, from the Star Tribune, wrote a few weeks ago. http://www.startribune.com/entertainment/celebrities/278906001.html I hope you find it interesting even though most of you know the story.  After reading it,  I couldn’t help but think, I wish more had been said  about my work as a Motivational/Inspirational Speaker.  I firmly believe in the Power of Focus and how it change lives. Its a message I love sharing with audiences across America.  Maybe you’ll invite me to speak at your company’s next event.

In addition to being a broadcaster,  I’m also a Motivational, Inspirational speaker. I just finished a new talk  called “Faith is Substance.”  It’s a short impactful message examining, how to have faith which  shows how  it shows up in our lives. Is this too heavy for you on a Saturday morning? :)

Hi Everyone! Don’t under-estimate the power of a blessing. Press the play button below.

Folks everywhere are beginning to at least think about being thankful. People in the North might be thankful for escaping the cluthes of a snowstorm while some others could be happy to have landed a great electronic deal on Black Friday. Thankfullness shows up in many forms.

A friend of our family in Tampa came up with a great idea. Its called The Gratitude List. Its simply a list you compile of things, people and situtions for which you’re grateful. Next, each day from now until the New Year, keep a running list of whatever you’re thankful for. There’s no right or wrong way to make the list. The process is transformative because it helps to create an attitude of gratitude.
Often we don’t have or take time to do this kind of introspection. I’ve been keeping a Gratitude List for a number of years and I’ve found the simple act of writing from my heart is making a profound impact on me and those I’m close to.

Give The Gratitude List a try and let me know if your life begins to change for the better. Happy Thanksgiving!

DUNCAN AND OMAROSA, WOW!

One minute she’s turning down love on a reality show, the next minute, she’s about to jump the broom with Michael Clarke Duncan.

Omarosa and the “Green Mile” actor have been quietly dating since about April of this year. And according to reports, she’s telling people that he’s definitely “the one.”

Last month, Omarosa told Black Voices, “He is the greatest guy I’ve ever been with! I’m madly in love!” She also said that if Duncan proposed, she would “absolutely” say yes.

Duncan and Omarosa

On Sunday night, the couple arrived hand-in-hand at In Touch Weekly’s Icons and Idols party at Bar Marmont in West Hollywood and “could barely keep their paws off one another,” according to Popeater. “Duncan kept her very close to his side all night, gushing to onlookers, ‘That’s my girl.’”

As for Omarosa’s own green mile…of love?

In 2000, she married Aaron Stallworth, but the two divorced in 2005. Several months after the split, she was linked to Dr. Frank Ryan, who died tragically in a car accident this summer.

She tried her hand at love again earlier this year, teaming up with Donald Trump for the TV One dating show ‘The Ultimate Merger.’ But finding love wasn’t in the cards for her, as the final contestant, R&B singer Ray Lavender, was eliminated because he was still technically married. Although Omarosa stated during a reunion show that there would be a second season, it has been called off for now — as long as she and Duncan remain an item.

FORMER WIDE RECEIVER DOES SIDE STEP IN FACE OF ALLEGATIONS

Broadcaster and former NFL tight end Shannon Sharpe is taking a leave of absence from his NFL analyst gig at CBS amid allegations of sexual assault against him.

“I have decided to step aside from the NFL Today show until this matter is resolved,” Sharpe said in a statement released today.

Shannon Sharpe

Atlanta’s Fulton County Superior Court granted a temporary restraining order against Sharpe following a petition filed by Michele Bundy, who claims the ex-athlete threatened her life and forced her into sex.

A protection hearing is scheduled for Monday, Sept 20.

HALLE BERRY IS THANKFUL

Halle Berry says the court-ordered community service stemming from her 1997 hit-and-run car accident was a wake-up call that changed her life, and shifted her focus to charity work.

The Oscar winner was sentenced to 250 hours of community service for leaving the scene of the accident in West Hollywood. Berry said she suffered had suffered amnesia and needed 17 stitches in her forehead following the crash.

She fulfilled the court order by working at Los Angeles’ Jenesse Center, a charity that helps battered women and their children make a fresh start.

Cut to 13 years later, and Berry still regularly volunteers with the organization – which has helped her realize the importance of giving back.

She says, “It changed my life. I hadn’t been doing enough (for others). It was time.”
