NEW EDITION IN NEW MINISERIES
In a move sure to delight their fans, BET has announced they will be doing a miniseries on the group New Edition. Ronnie, Bobby, Ricky, Ralph, Mike and Johnny will be profiled in a deal announced this week.
Members Ricky Bell, Michael Bivins, Ronnie DeVoe, Johnny Gill, and Ralph Tresvant will co-produce the untitled miniseries along with the band’s longtime manager Brooke Payne; founding member Bobby Brown was not named as a producer in the press release. The group, famous for songs such as “Candy Girl” and “Cool It Now,” formed in the late 70s and rose to fame as a quintet in the 80s. Brown left the group in the mid-80s to pursue a solo career and the band has broken up and reunited multiple times, but is currently back together.
“From our beginning in the Orchard Park Projects in Boston to Hollywood and everything in between, just like the Temptations and the Jackson 5, we are ready to retrace our footsteps and show everyone how we got here,” the group said in a statement.
Halle Berry Says Lost Wedding Ring Not Sign of Divorce
Ah yes – the ol’ “I lost my ring” confession is usually followed by a divorce announcement, and while Halle Berry may be pretending that she remains blissfully in love with her faithful husband, rumors continue to swirl that their marriage is on the rocks due to infidelity issues on both sides.
Now with Halle’s revelation that she lost her wedding band, stay tuned for what tricks she may pull out of the martial bag of woes in the forthcoming weeks, as we’re not buying that all is well in the Berry-Martinez household.
Nicki Minaj Preggers?
It looks like Nicki Minaj is not expecting a child with boyfriend Meek Mill. The Internet had been buzzing about the possibility ever since the “Anaconda” rapper called Meek her “baby father” on stage during a Saturday night stop on her Pinkprint Tour. But TMZ is now citing sources close to Nicki that say she was just using the phrase as a term of endearment. In the past she’s also called Lil Wayne her baby daddy. Nicki has also stated before that she’s going to be married before she has a baby. The star-studded lineup is set for this year’s BET’s Music Matters Tour. The fifth anniversary of the event will feature Kevin Ross, Adrian Marcel, Avery Wilson and Rotimi. The show is kicking off today at Chicago’s Double Door and will run through Saturday, making stops at New York City’s SOB’s, Washington D.C.’s Smith Public Trust, among others.
WHAT’S YOUR EMOJI?
‘LOL’ Isn’t The Most Funny Expression Anymore Facebook is giving us all a lesson in laughter. Users were analyzed to figure how we transmit our laughs onto our keyboards. Trends in internet giggles were heavily influenced by age. Younger people were more likely to use emoji, a face portraying particular emotions. More than half of all users typed “haha” or “hehe” to show humor. The report also confirmed “LOL” is no longer popular among kids. Only one-point-nine-percent of users are using “LOL” to let others know they’re laughing out loud.

Listen to the story of a real Hero in Mr. Donnell Gibson of St. Paul.
We think all the time, and some of the finest thoughts we have are those that have the potential of positively impacting our lives. The key to winning is to taking time to listen to what we hear in our innermost reflections and then acting on those ideas that move us forward.
By habit, many people tend to focus on what they don’t want in their lives rather than what they’d like to see. What do you want? What do you want to be? What do you want to become? Concentrate and then act on those ideas.
We’re naturally goal seeking people and our positive thoughts and ideas set us up for greatness. The key to winning is staying on course and shutting off the internal negative thoughts that threaten to hold us back.
Don’t allow your own defeatist introspections and outside influences push you around. Take charge of your brain power by filling your mind with ideas and thoughts that move you closer to your goals and dreams.
Consider adding the following simple idea. “I’m grateful for my ideas that help make my dreams, goals and ambitions come true.”

Washington County Sheriff’s Office is a participant in the national program called LO/JACK. The technology now protects and rescues individuals who wander from their caregiver. The task of searching for wandering or lost individuals with cognitive disorders including AUTISM, ALZHEIMER’S or other medical conditions is a growing and serious responsibility for the caregivers and the Sheriff’s Office. Without the help of an effective tracking system, searches can involve multiple agencies, hundreds of officers, countless hours and thousands of dollars. More important, because time is of the essence, every minute lost increases the risk of a tragic outcome. That is why the Washington County Sheriff’s Office now offers an effective solution for finding and rescuing those who wander from their caregiver.
If you would like more information about this program, please visit the Lo/Jack website
Here is a link to the full article CJ, from the Star Tribune, wrote a few weeks ago. http://www.startribune.com/entertainment/celebrities/278906001.html I hope you find it interesting even though most of you know the story. Its a message I love sharing with audiences across America. Maybe you’ll invite me to speak at your company’s next event.
